coyotegirl 3 Posted January 3, 2006 I still had to pay a little over $1,000. Medicare paid the rest $23,000+ was my total bill from start to finish. I am not sure if medicare will pay for fills My sergeon did not charge me for the 4 fills he did.(under fluro) The other 2 fills were done local and she charges just $75. Spydr 0 Posted January 3, 2006 My doctor charges Medicare patients $2000 flat. If Medicare covers the surgery, the money goes to fills and aftercare. If Medicare does not cover, the money covers the entire surgery and fills are $50 each. Medicare covered my surgery to the tune of $54,900. I say, good for the doctors for getting what they can.
