Tummy tucks and boob jobs

Recommended Posts

Just how many people have had them? And why a boob job? Did your boobs shrink after lapband?

Hi Steph:

I had a Tummy Tuck because after losing 150 pounds I had an apron of excess skin around my abdomen. As far as the boobs go they become somewhat deflated with all of the fat leaving them. Part of that may be an age issue as I'm 51 now. I think younger people have more resilience as far as their excess skin goes.

Best wishes to you.

Sue

I would guess they would sag if you lose that much weight, that quickly. I also think some people just do it for personal reasons, they are skinny they want to look their best :)

I plan on having both a Tummy Tuck or lower body lift (depends on how the thighs shape up when all is said and done) as well as a boob job. I've always thought about a boob job because over the years of yo yo dieting, the boobs have really not held *up* well!

Now that I've lost 70 pounds, and have 70 pounds to go, I know the skin will need something done with it. After gaining 40 pounds with my son, and another 40 pounds after that, and just being overwieght the majority of my life, it's just going to need some help.

I plan on a Tummy Tuck, because I'll most likely have an "apron" of excess skin and I don't think I can live with that. My boobs will be very saggy as well, but with a good bra, they look fine and I don't really think my husband will care so it wouldn't be worth the money to us.

I think I will definitely need a Tummy Tuck. I carry my weight in my mid section. As far as boobs, I'm doing good to fill up an A cup lol. I will wait until I have kids to have my tummy tuck and hopefully I'll go up a cup size after a baby lol but if not I'm not worried about them right now.

I had a Tummy Tuck and boob job Dec. 1. I am thrilled with the results. However, I did have a complication. I retained a lot of Fluid (gained 10 pounds!). The surgeon had to go back in and deal with it. However, I would do it again in a heart beat. Next is a face lift- after that arms. My thighs are a little "wrinkly" but that doesn't bother me too much. I do weights and hope I can fill out my legs a little and they will look better. Be sure to do your reseach and get a good doctor- you want it to be safe and get good results. Best wishes.

I didn't lose too much weight ( highest weight 220 lowest 150) but I still wanted a tuck. Actually it was a panni because my muscles were left alone.

Anyways I wanted one done because my belly button was wrecked after 3 surgeries ( band in, out and in again) and I had some extra skin.

As for a boob lift that is something I am debating about because my boobs changed size but don't look too, too bad but I am young so of course want to be perfect. I won't get implants because one foreign thing in my body is enough for me.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
