Iphone users is there a good food journal app?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for something I can put on my Iphone where I can log my daily food intake and track my weight.

Have you found any good apps for that? There are so many. I've been looking through them all but I thought I'd see if you guys recommend any.

I use Lose It! You can track calories, Protein, carbs, etc. You can also record your weight daily and the app adjusts your calorie intake according to your weight loss goals. Another app is Livestrong. I downloaded that one as well. Has many of the same features. Seems to have a more extensive database of foods but I use Lose It because I think its very simple to use. You can also add the calories you burn from working out. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've been using SparkPeople and I like it, but I've now downloaded both livestrong and lose it to try for a week and see.

OMG! I downloaded Lose It last night and I'm loving it! So easy and I love the fact that can I add any foods to it that aren't listed in the database.

Thanks guys!

I use Fitday. I love that it tracks Calories, Fat, Carbs and Protein with my daily totals at the top of the screen so I always know where I am with both calories and protein.:D

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
