    • Two words: hell no.
      3
    • I won't say never, but I seriously doubt it.

    • I'd only consider it if the excess skin etc. causes other medical issues down the road.
      11
    • I probably will if I feel the need and can afford to pay for it.

    • I'm definitely going to have a tummy tuck or something lifted/tightened.

    • Not only am I going to do it, I'm getting everything done. Tummy, lipo, butt, chest, upper arms, chin.

I wont say never but seriously doubt it. Heck, Im 38, I'm normal looking, definitely not model material, I'm past getting around in a bikini or baring my middle in public, unless i had seriously loads of hanging skin, I cant see that it would be worth the money. My family could use the money for way better things - $3,000 AUD for lap band surgery is one thing $25,000 for belly and boobs is quite another.

In the beginning I thought "hell no" but now things are not only sagging but I notice the slapping of excess skin already. When I get to goal I think I might have to have some work done for comfort more than for looks. I live in a very hot climate and I am thinking the excess skin folds might be nasty to live with. And if I do go in...I will DEFINATELY have my boobs lifted...my nipples won't know what hit them if they no longer have to look at the floor!!!!!

My bat wings and hanging stomach are beyond shrinking back. I am already squirreling away money for the surgeries. Based on what I have read on this board I should be able to get both done for about 10K. I don't look forward to another surgery, but I don't think this journey will be complete for me without it.

I doubt it, but I've also learned to never say never. After all, I am already doing many things I said I'd never do (not that they are bad, but at one point in my life I thought I'd never do them.) I think plastic surgery could fall into that category. I'm not trying for bikini's and crop tops. Just "normal". I'm 50 for goodness sake! Ya'll can feel free to rub this in when I post that I have scheduled plastic surgery! LOL!

I have had 2 pregnancies and 2 c-sections. One with twins! I will definately need my gut done. I'll probably get a breast lift, too. Even when I lose weight I will likely still be chesty. If I had the $$, I'd get it all done. I have been heavy all my life and now that I am 40, I have started wondering what I was really supposed to look like. My body has always been so distorted- what was I supposed to look like?? I feel like there is another me in a parallel universe who is living the life I was supposed to live. Ok, I don't literally believe it, but I have often thought about it.

I lost 60 lbs before WLS and I ALREADY need a Tummy Tuck. My PCP said it will be necessary to eliminate back pain and strain from excess skin. On the other hand, I want my arms done as well, purely for cosmetic reasons i.e. they sag halfway to my waist! I don't think I'll do anything else, though.

I just think of plastic surgery as part of the whole weight loss thing. If I'm willing to do the band, I'm willing to do it all. It's about a life change. I always wanted a set of "perky" ones!

A few months ago I would have said "I'm having everything done!" but now I'll take the one below it "I'm definitely going to have a Tummy Tuck or something lifted/tightened."

I know I want a breast lift, and I'm pretty sure I'll want my arms done. I'm undecided on the tummy and the thighs. I haven't lost enough weight to be able to really tell what's going to happen with the skin in those places. If I have a little 'squishyness' on my tummy, I think I can live with that, but if I have skin that overhangs my waist, I'll definitely want it removed.

Maybe, I will have to wait and see the extra skin to make the final decision. I think a TT will be in order I gain too much weight during both pregnancies and I have lots of strech marks and we all know they are not going away.

I just want my tummy and breat lifted. My arms are not too bad, they were never big to begin with, the little sag that is there can be filled with muscles. My tummy is already hanging and my boobs were sagging from the baby 4 1/2 years ago. I can live with saggy boobs but the tummy has to go, I have to tuck it into my pants now. I know, I know Too Much Info. ~Mandy

Yeh, babies mess up the boobs and tummy along with carrying around all this excess weight. I am ALL FOR getting whatever is needed done after I lose the weight. After I have my 2nd child I will definitely do a TT or LBL, I KNOW a boob job is in order - nips are supposed to be at attention not aimed south ;) I'm young - 27, so we'll see what my body does after the weight is gone and muscle built...and then it's all about looking good nekkid!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
