Dry Bones...

Recommended Posts

Remember the song? The knee bone connected to the, thigh bone... Well, our phrenic nerve is connected to our Lap Band! Actually, the stomach is. With so many of us having shoulder pain, I wonder if this is the cause, rather than gas? I'm adding a post of mine from another thread here because I thought this subject needs its own thread.

"Based on my personal observations (no "gas" pains post-op) and the many posts on this forum, I seriously doubt that pain in the shoulder is gas. If it were, why do I get it only after a fill? I'm not the only one this happens to, either. From what I can tell, again, based on others' posts - and after speaking with my doc - the band, at least for a few days to a week after installation - and sometimes fills - applies pressure to the phrenic nerve, which causes the shoulder pain.

For additional information, Google "phrenic nerve gastric band". "

I got a fill on Monday and have had horrible shoulder pain since. It's nothing new to me as I suffered thru it after being banded and also after each fill. I didn't buy the "gas pain" theory myself.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
