I am 10 months post op. I have had no complications and good success so far. I have noticed lately something. When I drink liquids I notice a burning sensation in my throat and esophagus only. I don't have any reflux or other burning problems. I was wondered if others had experienced this?

Is it with all fluids? I get a burning sensation if I drink certain red wines. Almost like heartburn. Water - no, juices - no, just wine so far that I know of. Well, I have tried a couple of sips of a carbonated beverage over the past 20 months and that is instant burning and discomfort - so I don't anymore. Just curious if it's with Water also.

If so, call your physician's office and ask about it. They may want you in to check things out to be safe. Good luck!
