the best me 6 Posted January 15, 2006 Do you have any opinion's on IUD's. My opinion is moral/ethical. An IUD makes the uterus uninhabitable for a fetilized egg. So if you have an IUD, you could be getting pregnant every month, then basically have a miscarriage every month because the fertilized egg can't implant due to the presence of the IUD. So for me, it's like a monthly abortion, potentially. I am personally much more comfortable with birth control that prevents an egg being fertilized to begin with. My personal beliefs are that life begins at conception. I couldn't justify the use of an IUD for myself. You don't have to agree, it's my personal opinion and you asked. I really really like my tubal ligation...very effective and no hormones!! Yay! Can't wait to find out your date. Could Dr B tie your tubes while he's in there for the RNY? Just wonderin'. jttaurus 0 Posted January 17, 2006 Kathy, Thanks for your opinion. I haven't done any research yet for this post op birthcontrol. I know from the paperwork pills and Patches don't work for rny patients. I am not ready to have my tubes tied, and i'm not sure I want to have anymore kids. I'm only 32 so I have a few more good years, my husband thinks once I lose this weight I will feel so great that age won't matter. I'm unsure though. My mom was 40 when she had me and it was a rough upbringing, she was sick all the time and past away two years ago when I turned 30. I was parentless at 30. It makes me sad too that icannot share this with her. She would be dead set against it altering our bodies in any ways.
the best me 6 Posted January 17, 2006 32 is young. Don't tie those tubes yet. So, no pills, no Patches. What about Depo shots? I can't stand those things. Everyone I talk to that's had them likes the "no periods" but they still leave you wondering...since you have no schedule to be sure you aren't pregnant...you know the sigh of relief each month when you get that period and KNOW for sure your birth control worked this month? Not with Depo. Plus you will have so many other changes going on after your surgery, it'd be just another factor to consider. Hmmm. Condoms. Ewww. Do they still make those sponges? I'm sorry about your Mom. I don't care how old you are, you still need your Mom. I had my kids at 34 and 37, almost 38. Hubby is 5 years older than me. But I think our ages are an advantage to parenting. Give it a few years. You aren't too old for another child. Besides, if you don't get this birth control thing figured out, you may get preggo sooner than later! hehe You'll do fine. Why no Patches, I wonder?

the best me 6 Posted August 22, 2006 DUH. Help me get digest version of fly lady please. I like the daily housework duties. I dont like the testimonials. Can I be helped/ edie, I get the digests, too. You have to dig around in the web site to find where to change it, but it changes really quickly, then you'll get each of the e-mails bunched on one nice neat package once a day, maybe twice if they add on something. I just kind of run a day behind if I follow their schedule. Which I don't manage to do very often. It really helps me to focus, though. I find myself saying "just the middles" and "I don't love it" all the time as I clean and toss. Tell me if you hav eany trouble changing it, I'll see what I can find out. Now, go get those hot spots! Fitter 0 Posted August 31, 2006 Call me a selfish delusional narcissist, but I swear flylady.net was created especially for me! That fat lady old lady with wings even kinda looks like me. Thanks for sharing a site that just may save the ounce of sanity rambling around my disorganized coconut! Tomorrow is my very last day in Corporate America, so my whole life takes on new meaning next week, and my first order of business every morning will now be Flylady with coffee! COOL SITE!
