I had Lap-Band in March of 2007. My pre surgery weight was 277 pounds. Probably a year after surgery I was down to 235 pounds. I did not follow up with my doctor as I should have and so on and so forth and I never reached my goal to be within the normal weight range for my heighth. My weight never dipped below that 235 pounds and climbed back up to 250. I had a baby in August of 2010 and I didn't gain a whole lot of weight with the pregnancy. I had a big 9lb 6oz 22 inch long baby boy whom I love with every ounce of being I have in me. I am going to the doctor next Friday for the first time since 2008. I am excited about restarting this weight loss journey and I want to reach my goal weight. I want to SUCCEED!!! I joined this group b/c I know that research shows that those who attend support groups have a better chance of reaching goal weights and keeping the weight off. I want to be around for my son and be able to teach him a healthy lifestyle. I don't want him to follow in mom's unhealthy footsteps when it comes to diet choices. Today my weight is 254 pounds. Wish me luck on a new beginning!!
