Ah I have the saggy butt:(

Recommended Posts

You know I'm not really sure what size I'm in. My 16's are really baggy but my size 14's are tight but then my 14's are 3 years old so maybe there's a difference in sizing now? IDK. I'm really frustrated. I have 7 pairs of jeans that almost fit but not quiet. I have 2 that I can get buttoned but I can't bend over in yet.

This will sound weird, but if you have pants that you can get over your butt and just can't button, there is this thing at target or anywhere that has maternity clothes called the belly band. its for pregnant women that can't button their pants. its a strip of elastic cloth that goes over your pants where the button are and gives you a layered look. so no one can see if you can't button your pants. here is a link for the target kind to give you an idea. i use them a lot!

Thank you so much for showing this! I'm at that awkward between sizes. I wear the smaller size because the too big sizes are awful.

But, having pants that are too tight around the mid-section has become so painful. I thought I was going to have to actually go buy bigger pants this weekend :)

I swear by Dress Barns jeans. They fit me well and have both 14 and 14W. Not too expensive either. They had a denim sale last week and bought 4 pair for under $100.

(Side note) The skinny, 12 year old (not really 12) sales girl helped me when the 14W was too big and brought me the regular 14. She said, "See you don't need the 14 WIDE." I gently corrected her and laughed in the dressing room...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
