bthomson 0 Posted January 11, 2011 My husband and I were banded on Dec. 29th. For two weeks prior, we used the Optifast and drank Clear Liquids. Now, we are on clear liquids only. We have our first post op visit tomorrow and can begin creamed Soups, yogurt, etc. We have two brand new boxes of Optifast that have never been opened (vanilla - expires June 2011) (chocolate - expires August 2011). Is there anyone in the central Florida area that might be interested in buying it? I asked the doctor about returning it, but according to state law, they can not accept the return. Is there a reason you and your husband don't want to drink it post surgery? If it were me, I would probably use it on the days when I am too busy to prepare a meal or when I am on the run; you know, something to keep in your purse should you get hungry and not able to find an appropriate meal. Just a thought. ~Fran

I suppose we could use it after that, however, since we're both retired, I don't think it will be any problem eating at home.
