va_viv 3 Posted January 13, 2011 I'm right there with ya! I got my first fill on Dec 28th and I feel worse now than I did before! I feel like I could eat a horse if I wanted to! I'm due for another fill on Feb 4th, so hopefully that will help. Good Luck to you! That happened to me...it felt like I got unfilled instead of a fill. But it got a little better as the days passed. Just keep measuring your food and you'll be ok. I've heard that it takes 3-4 fills (on average) to find the sweet spot. Don't worry we'll get there. I've had my 2nd fill and it's way different, I feel like I can still eat anything and more then 1 cup but at least I don't have that "worse then before" feeling. Hope that makes sense. Good luck! CTMom 6 Posted January 21, 2011 Late to the party, but motivated! I'm eleven days post-op. The swelling is going down and the hunger is going up so I need some accountability through the Bandster Hell phase. Thanks for the challenge!

shadst8 8 Posted January 24, 2011 Had port revision last Wednesday so the liquids for a few days really help me do so much better than expected--down 11lbs in 5 days! With that I moved my goal to 20lbs to challenge myself the next few weeks knowing my success of dropping that much in week will be short-lived!!
Whey ready 1 Posted January 26, 2011 What is everyone doing to rev up their exercise routines for this? I tried small jogs on the treadmill....like walk 10 min jog 2 and I feel like I still jiggle too much to jog...any other ideas?

I am a Zumba person as I too am not at the running stage--my gym figures out the calories. For my height and weight, the Zumba class burns 1000 calories. CTMom 6 Posted January 27, 2011 So far, I've been walking 5 miles, four times a week. (I'm relatively young and with a relatively low BMI, so this is appropriate.) I live on a big hill, so the way down is easy, but the way home is a doozy!! I would really like to start running the downhill bit again, but I tried Monday and then again today, and, at 17 days post-op, it still feels a little uncomfortable in the belly area. Hopefully by next week I will be able to do it. I'd like to gradually increase my mileage to 25 miles per week. My doctor wants me to hit the gym again too, but frankly I haven't had the time. Hopefully that will change. The exercise and the gradual reduction in swelling is making me hungry though! What is everyone else doing?
SWEETGRACE 1 Posted January 27, 2011 My trainer suggested that I could do intervals of either jogging for 1 minute walk for 2 OR increase the incline for 1 minute than lower it for 2 minutes. He said it still gives you interval training and increases your endurance. I noticed too that when I put the treadmill on a steep incline I have to use my stomach muscles more to keep upright as I walk so I think it is really helping to strengthen my core at the same time.
