Miss A 1 Posted January 6, 2011 Hello Everybody, I had my lapband surgery yesterday and everything went fine, I don't even feel hungry at all or even thristy at all but I am making sure I keep up on my liquids so im no dehyrdrated. However I am feeling really sore and it hurts when I breathe, I have burped a couple of times to get some of the gas out but I feel like Im just full with gas. Does anybody know how long it might take to get all the extra gas out from the surgery? Thanks in Advance
cheryl2586 3,053 Posted January 7, 2011 Start walking the gas should disperse within the first week but your going to be sore especially your port site for a long time at least three months
Southern Leo 0 Posted January 7, 2011 I thinki was burping all the time and making sure everyone heard me too!! Walking will help even if it's for short times. And I know when I had a cracked rib I had that machine to help me breathe so I wouldn't get pnumonia. I started doing without the machine. It's just inhaling slowly as long as you can and releasing it. I built up the time each time and thought it helped me. So it wasn't for many times when I started but it got better each time. I didn't want to be out of breathe very long!! Before that I just always seemed out of breathe.
