4MyHealth2011 0 Posted January 3, 2011 Around the third week post-op I had intence pains in my lowwer left abdominal region. I almost went to the ER for it. The last stabbing pain I had I said to myself it must be a kidney stone and that if I had one more pain like that I would call 911 and go to the ER. Well I drank several glasses of Water and urinated several times but that last stabbing pain was the last stabbing pain! I still do not know what was causing it, but I am very glad it has not come back again.
CheckYes 46 Posted January 3, 2011 Kidney stone pain is generally in your back. Have you had kidney stones before or have a family history of then? Maybe you are thinking of gall stones. I don't think it would just go away if it were either of those. If you are concerned about it maybe call your surgeon at ask? Best wishes!
CheckYes 46 Posted January 3, 2011 I had kidney stones after doing Atkins induction diet for way too long. Who knew a drastic change in diet could do that to you?! The pain was sharp and constant, not stabbing.
4MyHealth2011 0 Posted January 3, 2011 I see my surgeon tomorrow. I plan to ask what that whole episode was about. Thanx for the feed back.
