Guest greeneyedlady Posted December 30, 2005 Good moring, Well this is my fist post. I had the Lap Band surgery in Mexico on Monday. I returned home yesterday. I am looking for people to share my experiece with and also to make sure I'm progressing the way I should. Yesterday the flight home was ok, a little uncomfortable. My husband and I stopped on the way home and I got a bowl of Vegtable beef Soup broth! Big mistake! :phanvan I either drank too much or it was too greasy. We stopped at the store on the way home and I thought I was going to vomit! Fortunately I was able to talk myself out of doing that since I've only vomited two times in my whole life. Anyway suffered all night. I feel much better this morning. I guess it is all a new learning experience. Looking forward to some input.
Iluvharleys 15 Posted December 30, 2005 Welcome to bandland! Remember to sip slowly, you are still swollen from the surgery.
megret 0 Posted January 23, 2006 Hi, how are you doing today? I am thinking seriously about going to Mx for my band. Do you have any regrets and where did you have it done? Thanks!

Banded14yr 2 Posted January 29, 2006 Congratulations on your recent surgery! Just remember to take it easy, the first month after surgery is very important to the healing process and for long term success of the band. Take everything slow including eating. It's certainly a change that is difficult because most of us have developed habits that are hard to break after many years
cmr 0 Posted January 29, 2006 I was banded in Monterrey and what you describe sounds just about right. The first 2 weeks I had alot of horrible gas pains and I did find some comfort from them by laying on my back on the floor and raising one knee at a time up as far as I could to my chest. This is what I did for my kids when they were infants and it worked for me too. I would also suggest that you not talk yourself out of spitting up. It will make you feel better. Good Luck!
