esme1 0 Posted December 31, 2010 Is 2 weeks enough time after surgery to do some dancing? I was hoping to do some dancing new years eve but not sure if its ok.
Melissannde 41 Posted December 31, 2010 What do your post-op orders say about activity? I would use that as a guideline. I probably wouldn't do extreme movements or break dancing or whatever, but a little gentle movement probably wouldn't go wrong. All I can say is "probably" because I don't know your medical history. The best thing would've been to call your surgeon's office with this question... if they're open today, please call. My surgeon says basically no lifting over 10lbs for 2 weeks and "if it hurts, don't do it". Call YOUR doctor.
MaggieB 6 Posted December 31, 2010 Ask your doctor. I was cleared to start exercising after my 2 week post op appointment with the same instructions "if it hurts, don't do it".
Jess55 97 Posted December 31, 2010 I was cleared to do cardio (which I consider dancing to be) when I went for my check up at 9 days post op, they said not lifting for 2 more weeks. Should be ok, I would think
esme1 0 Posted January 1, 2011 thanks for your responses. I was told only walking for the 1st 4 weeks so I decided not to push it. We went to a movie instead!
