shardy 0 Posted December 25, 2010 I was banded on the 20th. Day 1-2 was rough but have gotten much better by the days to follow. On day 5 now and all pain is almost gone. My only complaint at this time is that when I get up from a reclining or laying down position I get an immediate air bubble feeling just under bmy chest cavity. It does not last long but it is becoming a real annoyance. I can feel it coming on when I start to move and I usually have to stop, let it pass, then resume my activities. I am hoping that this is normal because of the absence of solid food but really do not know. Has anyone else had these problems.

CheckYes 46 Posted December 25, 2010 I hear it can take a while for all the extra air to go. I seem to get hiccups more often.
JMinDallas 1 Posted December 25, 2010 I'd say about day 7 I started feeling back to normal almost completely. I too would get that air bubble thing, and still do on occasion.
shardy 0 Posted December 25, 2010 I have not been able to burp yet, I sure wish I could.
anewbeckiboo 1 Posted December 25, 2010 I was banded on the 23rd. I have not had much trouble with gas pains since the first day (though I think I may be speaking too soon). Most of my pain now is just abdominal...getting up from laying down and getting on and off the toilet is uncomfortable. LOL...everything else is fine. I can lay down and I can walk around with no problems. I am super hungry though. Apparently I am NOT one of those people that got restriction right out of surgery. Bummer. disneymom1978 1 Posted December 26, 2010 I am 10 days post op and am feeling pretty much back to normal, with the exception of this flu I'm trying to kick! By day 6-7 I was feeling like my old self. Walking around the house really helped to get rid of the gas pains!
