Rchavez101 0 Posted December 24, 2010 I started my pre-op diet on October 22nd and had surgery on November 4th. To date I have lost 62lbs with out no fills. The journey has had ups and many downs. I am feeling great overall despite some setbacks. Happy Holidays everyone. I started at 344 lbs and now weigh 282 lbs. I hope to get to around 220Lbs. Southern Leo 0 Posted December 26, 2010 That's great.....How do we know if we need a fill? How is it determined...by dr? I will be banded Tuesday and am gathering all the info I can!
Rchavez101 0 Posted December 26, 2010 Your doc possibly determines if you need a fill. It's based on the amount of food you eat in a sitting. Normally 3 small meals a day. If you are losing about 1-2 lbs a week and if you are hungry between meals. I believe that is what they go off of. Of course you can always ultimately you can make the decision I guess. Good luck on your journey Southern Leo. That's great.....How do we know if we need a fill? How is it determined...by dr? I will be banded Tuesday and am gathering all the info I can! Good luck on your journey Southern Leo. My doctor is one that is a firm believer in what you described and if a patient is still doing well weight loss wise, he ultimately lets it sit with us decision wise whether we feel we need an additional fill. Of course, I am sure that depends on the patient and whether they are following his orders the correct way. I thankfully havent needed much of a fill so far, I only have 3 and a half CC in mine. Congrats on your wonderful weight loss, that is fantastic!
