Justine86 1 Posted December 22, 2010 Im 23 years old, just found this website as I was searching for more info on the lap band sugery. I work full time and am a college student i have been overweight for most of my life and have a crazy schedule as everyone does and know if i dont loose weight now my life will be cut short! Im having the pre op gitters a month away. I feel informed about all of the medical aspects of the surgery, but feel i need support of people who are in the same situation! Welcome to the fun! Glad you found this site. There is a ton of info here, and answers to virtually every question you may have. Your decision to have surgery is right on track - I wish I'd done something years ago. I'd much rather be approaching this from the front end of my life, rather than the latter part of it. Good luck with your journey! Dave

Most people have pre op jitters. Have you had an opportunity to attend a support group meeting, or meet others who have lap bands? If you have an opportunity to go to lunch or dinner with someone with a band that might be very helpful. What are you most concerned about?

Justine86 1 Posted December 23, 2010 Failing, you hear these stories of people who lost nothing or went back to old ways. The change of life is tough. Most people have pre op jitters. Have you had an opportunity to attend a support group meeting, or meet others who have lap bands? If you have an opportunity to go to lunch or dinner with someone with a band that might be very helpful. What are you most concerned about?
