amber2604 4 Posted December 21, 2010 Ok so I was banded yesterday morning. I have been able to sip Water and keep it down but the thought of food makes me want to throw up. I'm on full liquids btw. I can't tell if I'm full or just not hungry. Any suggestions? I feel terrible and have done nothing but sleep all day.
HoosierGal 0 Posted December 21, 2010 I was sore and tired for about 3 days after surgery. I was pretty much exactly the same way you described. I didn't feel like drinking or doing much of anything. It is important to hydrate yourself though!! When I got on full liquids I tried sipping some broth and hot tea. Those both were helpful for me. I know it's difficult but it will make you feel better once you have something in your stomach. I hope you get to feeling better soon!! I used the prescription pain medicine for about 4 days which helped but that also can sometimes make your stomach upset.
thmsdoyle 0 Posted December 22, 2010 I'm 2 1/2 weeks out from my band. The first few days I took food very slow. I had yogart (plain vanilla), cream of chicken Soup, and sipped on fluids all day. When my stomach was empty it gives me a indigestion kind of a feeling, like a half upset stomach. But once I eat that feeling goes away. I'm sticking with 2 oz meals. Are you taking prolosec or any thing to reduce stomach acid production? It will get better after a few days.
Pamalamadingdong 0 Posted December 22, 2010 Amber I was the same day, my worst day was day 2 post op, I was just miserable. I slept for about 4 days straight and couldn't barely stomach Water for about 2 full days. Day 3 was much better by day 5 and was starting to feel hungry. Give it a few more days, you should feel much better if you don't, call your dr.
