I am using Dr. Andrew DeWitt, at Princeton. My 6 month diet will be finished up next month, so hopefully the end of January or the beginning of February I'll be able to have mine. :) Where is Dr. T at?

He is at Trinity Medical center. Really nervous!! I have to do the same thing go for 7 months instead of six since the first did not count. I will have my last apt dec. 30th and that afternoon I should be able to submit for approval. My nurse in Dr. T's office said since I had blue cross blue sheild it should only take 15 mins to get approved. After that I will have a surgery date she said mid to late jan!

That's how mine is, I should've said 7 month. My initial visit was in July so January 27th-ish will be the end of my actual 6 months. I'm really excited about it. I've got BCBS too. Just hoping everything works out for me. I had to do the seminar, and visit with the nutritionist and do a psych eval (if you aren't depressed when you go in, you will be when you leave!). What bout you? Had to jump through many hoops?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
