Tally23 0 Posted December 20, 2010 Ok so I had surgery Aug 10th and a fill of 1cc last monday. I have a total of 5cc in. Today when I came home from work I ate a small piece of microwaved chicken and since then I have thrown up 8 times. Now it is mostly spit. Spoke with surgeon and he said " I wish you woulda called me a hour ago when I was in the office".... he said to hang in there tonight and sip Water. I can go into the office tomorrow for an unfill... The problem is... im not sure I can stay up 14 hours till I can get in...... advice? Any idea what I can do to calm things down... ansoninc 16 Posted December 21, 2010 Just threw up tea and water...... 9th episode in 2 hours I am sorry to hear that. Maybe you should try just a few sips every 10-15 minutes. Thank heaven you can see your doc tomorrow. See what he says to do if this should happen again. i would be interested to know as I have my first fill in 6 weeks. juliansmom2003 3 Posted December 21, 2010 Please let us know what happens. I'm sorry to hear you're unable to keep anything down. What a terrible feeling!
spoiltmom 44 Posted December 21, 2010 Just try some tiny sips every 15 minutes or so. I was told to try warm liquids rather than cold stuff.
ausamerican33 0 Posted December 21, 2010 Hot Water or tea, after your stomach has calmed down. And then liquids for a few days. My last fill was only .5 of a cc - and it has made a HUGE difference. Just one bite too much or of the wrong thing sends me to the restroom to spit up mucous - gross. I'm just living with it, though. I'v only lost 18 lbs since my surgery in May 2010, so I figure the band if finally doing it's job. The whole process is a never-ending learning cycle. I hope things settle down for you. michellehoeffel 1 Posted December 22, 2010 Sounds like you were stuck.. I cannot handle reheated meats (like chicken, pork). The dryness just messes with me. Hope you are doing better.
Tally23 0 Posted December 28, 2010 Just and update: By morning I was finally able to sip a little. I went in for a 2cc unfill and was able to drink without problem after that. The surgeon said we will do smaller fills this time around. But I feel much better.
