My DW, MsJoy, was banded today, Dec 28th, at the Pine Creek Medical Center in Dallas, TX. The center is located at Harry Hines Blvd and Research Row. Her doctor was Nirmal Jayaseelan. I wanted to commend the nurses and staff at Pine Creek for a fantastic job. I felt everyone was dedicated to their jobs and to the personal touch and privacy of their patients. They explained everything very well and were willing to answer any and all questions. Even the ones I had about how to read the monitor on the wall. From Ursula, in admitting, to Lou, in recovery, to Bobby, the OR nurse, not to mention Dr. Luk, the aneste...the gas passer. Even the ladies in the Cafe who served up a right tastey Breakfast. I would like to offer them all my thanks and recommend them to any and all.

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
