Dave_NW 92 Posted December 23, 2010 Reporting back Got home was doing ok but then started having some friend brought me some gas x . Downed 4 strips and called my doctor. Nurse told me I needed to take some Protein.so I'm on my second little 15 gms Protein drink..feeling some pain.took my loratab elixir.....hopefully it'll make me feel better. Also I didn't have shoulder pain until today like 1 hr ago...and I thought I was gonna be a lucky one. Gonna try to lay d down even tho standing up feels better. So all of this is normal right? Raul, you need to get out of bed and walk. The pain is gas. Walking dissipates the gas, and the shoulder pain will go away. Get up! Trust me. Dave

They kept me on the anti-nausea meds at the hospital, forced me to sip Water like crazy, and walk laps around the hospital hallways every hour. I had very little accumulated gas, and it dissipated quickly. By Day three I was feeling a lot more back to normal. Good luck! Dave

Went to see my nurse today.she says I'm healing pretty good and the shortmness of breath is most likely due gas and my anxiety. lunamiah 1 Posted December 23, 2010 Hey Raul, I am reading everyones comments and they all sound so familiar. Drink and walk as much as you can. I know its painful but it will get better. After 2 weeks of surgery, I wasnt drinking much and ended up in the ER because I was dehydrated!!! Try to rest also. Dont over work your body. Hope this helps. Keep in touch! -Lunamiah
