Linnielady 4 Posted December 18, 2010 I have done it right all the way, From my first meeting twith my surgeon to today. Haven't cheated on preop, went to 5 support group meetings in 6 months, and completed all insurance requirements. Read a zillion posts on LBT and made some wonderful friendships along my journey. Right now my mind is about 99% on board. Its that last nerve that''s bugging the c__p out of me. That big question, " Am I doing the right thing" ? I have read some uplifting and encouraging posts out there. I guess what I need to hear today are some personal stories about food after the band. I'm not looking to ever continue the way I've been, I'm just looking to understand my eating habits won't look like an albatross when I'm with others. Please help me to resolve this one remaining issue I seem to be having. I'll LOVE U forever. :Banane01: It seems I've written about 2 things. Bear with me I'm a little nervous. 1 Linnielady reacted to this
Southern Leo 0 Posted December 18, 2010 I know just what you mean. I have started my pre-op diet early in hopes of being ready to go when I hear any news. So I have had a chance to wait until later to drink anything after a meal as they want. I have been charting how much on an online diet chart. I was told to keep it to 25 mg carbs a day so I have a guideline there too. When I eat I think about how much I might be able to eat after the belt. Even a partial plan will help! Any of you more experienced banders have suggestions I'm open to them! Now I have another weekend to wait to see when surgeons office calls to set up final dates ect. I was approved yesterday and they said dr office will call in a few days......So now my mindset is get clothes to wear afterwards and have things ready at home. I go in Monday morning for my preop testing and will have surgery Tuesday or Thursday. I went out and bought some clothes to wear home and will pick up a few things like Water, broth and some yogurt. Will wash the sheets on Monday try to rest so I will hopefully have my surgery on Tuesday. Hopefully all my ducks will stay in a row... Let me know how you do. I'll be hearing when I can go when you will be going! But, I will need to wait a few days so I can be off my coumadin, usually 5. Cutting it short.......
