beergut 2 Posted December 17, 2010 They gave me a prescription for nausea, I'm guessing they didn't give you one? Or they might have, look for it in the packet of papers they gave you. It helped me cope.
Pamalamadingdong 0 Posted December 17, 2010 I'm in the same boat, was banded the 14th was ok yesterday but today, I'm nausious, I can feel my esphogus spazem when I try and take a breath. I can barely drink anything with out wanting to barf. I just tried to eat a cup (prepackaged cups) of jell-o, got about 1/2 of it down (in about 10 minutes) and I feel so full that I want to puke again. Not sure if that is normal or if I should call my dr.
CheckYes 46 Posted December 17, 2010 Pam, Perhaps stick to liquids rather than Jello. That might help.
cduval04 7 Posted December 27, 2010 haha....it would be interesting to hear how you guys are doing now....I had the same darn thing. fine in hosp. then a few hrs after being home I was nauseous ALL THE TIME. I was banded on the 20th didnt get better till about the 24th...I think day 4 was a big turnaround day in terms of less pain, smoother breathing, and being able to "feel" every sip I know exactly what you are talking about...your chest hurts for a minute it feels really tight then goes away
