Finger foods are bad because we tend to take big bites of them. That said, I can do OK with carrots, pretzels, chips (of course), crackers, drier cheeses rather than smooth ones. Little sandwiches are out due to the bread. Rolled deli meats are good. Cherry tomatoes can be bad because of the skin. Celery is OK if the string is removed, cucumber works for me. Broccoli and cauliflour are hit and miss.

I have a meatball recipe that everyone loves at parties. I haven't tired it since being banded, but I don't think it would get stuck. It isn't low fat though. I get a pack of the frozen meatballs and put them in a crock pot with ketchup, grape jelly, and lemon juice. It's like a sweet and sour sauce. People love them.

Here's a dip that is yummy with tostitos:

2 cans of fat free refried Beans. Heat in a saucepan and stir in a pack of taco seasoning. Spread in a 13 x 9 dish and let cool. Spread a jar of salsa on the beans. Spread ff sour cream on the salsa and shredded cheddar on top. It goes a long way. It's quick, easy, and delicious! Have a great time!!

You can get good quality chicken meatballs at costco. That would lighten your dish. Hummus is also a good lowfat dip. I make ranch dip with equal parts plain no fat Greek yogurt and lite sour cream. I use the Hidden Valley Ranch mix. Here is my lowfat chili dip: 2cans Hormel veggie chili, 8oz lite or ff cream cheese, 1 can Rotel, 2cups lowfat cheddar, chili powder and hot sauce to taste. In a microwaveable casserole spread cream cheese. Sprinkle chili powder, pour on Rotel and chili. Top with cheddar and more chili powder. Micro high for 3-4 minutes or till hot. Serve with homemade tortilla chips or baked chips.
