HoosierGal 0 Posted December 13, 2010 So, before surgery I enjoyed eating sushi. We would go quite often. Now that I have had surgery, I am curious if anyone eats it post op? The only thing I'm concerned about with sushi is the sticky rice. If anyone has tried it, please let me know how it went! Thanks!
Cocoabean 430 Posted December 13, 2010 Sometimes it's good, sometimes not so good. With bigger pieces I take them apart. It sort of defeats the flavor a bit, but it is still yummy. I have gotten stuck on it more than once, though. You have to be very careful with it. The seaweed can cause problems as well as the rice, it is hard to chew. Scoobie 0 Posted December 13, 2010 I've been wondering about this too. I LOVE sushi and hope I can have it ocassionally.
Bardy 6 Posted December 13, 2010 I love sushi too - but I imagine that the rice and seaweed might be a problem -- would try just eating the fish alone first and maybe a small chewed to death bite of rice if you need to taste it.
Mariasha 3 Posted December 13, 2010 Sushi fan here. Haven't had any problems eating it since surgery.
goodbyefatty 2 Posted December 14, 2010 I have not had a problem either. I order sushi with brown rice and I try to cut each piece in half. Try a half of piece and see how you do!
