I had a really bad food weekend. Was doing SO WELL until I was stuck at home during a blizzard. Ate some christmas Cookies that I made and other things that went down TOO easily. I feel like I should not try new things becuz then I know they will go down ok and I will want to eat them.

Oh well, enough beating myself up, this week is going to be good-BACK ON TRACK!

You said it....don't beat yourself up. Just have a plan the next time to grab something healthy instead of something that you know you should not have. There are room for treats once in awhile if you plan ahead and allow for them in your daily calorie count. Just start tomorrow more determined than ever.

Did you get the 20" of snow? Out here in WC MN we had a storm...not very good visability and housebound but not a lot of snow to move and clean up.

I've been having some food issues lately too - just cant seem to control myself. We should try to not beat ourselves up about it. I think when we beat ourselves up it makes it worse. Yay for getting back on track!

Just get back on track today. The good thing is you realize what you did - now just correct it. We all have our moments of not making the best decisions.

Me too! Did quite well even with being snowed in until Sunday night when I got together with my chums for a limo lights tour. Would like to say I regret the pizza and wine, but honestly I don't since I had a crazy fun time and danced off some of the calories :) Will get back on track today.

Blessings to you all!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
