mylena71 0 Posted December 9, 2010 Hi all! I am new to this so here's some background... I have struggled with my weight all my life...I am an emotional eater and just LOVE food! I made the decisionto have gastric banding 2 years ago and finally had it done 25 November 2010 by Dr Ryan in Sydney at the Campbelltown Private Hospital...my lovely husband paid for it all! It was difficult not to eat the first few days but then I kind of got used to it...I had pain for couple of days but after that it was very manageable... I am now in the pureed/mashed food stage and I am starting to enjoy eating... The only problems I have are that I have some strange pains once in a while in the area of my left shoulder blade and sometimes radiates to my neck and ear...I also feel like I have something in my throat - it's quite annoying! Not sure what that's about - will ask my doctor next time I see him! So I started at 95.2 kg and I was weighed after 2 weeks and I have lost 5.2kg which is great! I am really excited about losing more (although I am expecting to lose it more slowly now as I am back on solids)... Would love to hear from anyone on the band journey!
