dragonflylover 0 Posted December 6, 2010 I am so back and forth with this thing. my husband is almost begging for me to take it out. this is where i am at so far. Lost only 25-30 lbs in 1 yr. granted the first 10 mths i was not exercising, and not 100% on a diet. BUT... i was over restricted for several months and could barley eat anway.. why i didn't lose more is a mystery to me. Recently i went to a new fill dr who has better technology... After drinking that chalk crap, she could see it moving through my esopeagus (SP?) and into the pouch.. which was streched and sagging over the band. at that point she removed Fluid and left me with .50cc's for 1 month. I went back and drank that crap again.. and she put in 2.00cc's which gave me a total of 2.5cc's and according to this XRAY machine i was fully restricted. I also have a second small pouch and residual band slippage. Lately i can eat everything and anything i want to. apparently i need more restriction.. BUT the xray machine showed me perfectly restricted.. i dont get it.. it hasn't even been a month since this fill and i am now afraid that i am once again stretching my pouch.. i do not have pain this time around.. it's almost like not having a band. it costs me $80 per visit so i can't constantly have this ting checked out. IDK what to do.. i am becoming beyond frustrated and down about myself. i am losing my esteem, drive and am depressed.... i am still working out which seems to be the only thing maintaining the loss... but i am still not losing. do i really need to starve myself?!?!?!? I dont feel like I am going way overboard with food.. I know if i didn't have the band i would eat 2X the amt i currently do. I feel like being thin is just not meant to be for me. so discouraged. Msbandtastic 1 Posted December 7, 2010 I am so sorry for your stuggles. I have no advice for you because I am only 7 weeks post op. I am glad you posted your experience because it is important for people to know that the band does not always work. I am hoping you can get it figured out.
