Woo Hoo! I went to my Pre-op consult today. I have lost 1.5 lbs since November 8th. (No band, not dieting)

My NSV is that I have exercised enough to lose weight

OVER THE HOLIDAYS, eating everything I wanted.

Challenge start: 240

Now: 234

It's hard to find an NSV this week. How about this: I'm working massive overtime right now but I'm not giving in and eating crap out of the vending machines like I always have in the past in these "crunch times" at work. Even if I'm not the perfect bandster right now, I'm planning out my day, getting in my Protein, taking my Vitamins, and getting almost-adequate rest. Which for right now is what I can handle. I'm not giving up!

Okay, this is one of my rare cross-posts. I figured since this is the NSV thread for the challenge, I'll post this.

Okay, this is a very, very weird NSV. I've decided that the diagnoses for Cushing's is an NSV. Why? Why would I view it this way? Well. Like Paula pointed out, it would probably never have been diagnosed if I wasn't a Turtle, if I didn't demand answers. It's an NSV because I think it gives me permission to relax, to stop beating myself over my non-weight-loss. It means that I don't have to rant and rave, well, maybe it gives me something else to rant and rave about :)

I haven't posted lately because I haven't had any NSV's until today.

As I was walking down to the kitchen to put my lunch in the fridge, a co-worker from a different dept who I really don't speak to all that much stopped me and said that she noticed I was losing weight and that I look great.

NSV(s): 1) My mother-in-law came to visit this past weekend and called me a "skinny minnie!" 2) I can now fit comfortably (with room to spare) in those plastic, stackable patio chairs.

1/23/06

NSV: I had to move the seat in my vehicle closer to the steering wheel because my butt isn't so big anymore.

Hi, 244 down from 256 makes 8 pounds lost, as of the end of the Sundance Film Festival! and an amazing NSV -

After starting out in men's size 46 jeans, now I fit comfy in size 38's; a little tight in 36's; and I bought a pair of 34's so I could stare at them until the time I fit into them comfortably. Once that happens, I figure I should start thinking about stopping losing weight. Tonight, I tried on the 34's just to see if I could even pull them over my legs.

They snapped closed and zipped up! ... My wife said "you're getting too skinny. Once you fit comfortably in those 34's, you are DONE losing weight!"

:whoo:

Yee haw!

I'm sitting here reading everyone's NSVs and I just wanted to tell all of you how proud I am of you. Not only for having the wonderful NSVs but for learning to see what they are, to notice the changes. I congratulate each of you!

I of course didn't lose any weight

My NSV is that I"ve started training to run. Yes, you heard me, I'm training to run. I was invited to apply to a computer security internship through the Air Force, and it's an actual hacker boot camp, complete with actual military boot camp. The head of my program said that he could waive many of the requireents, (like the age thing) but it was up to me. So, I'm going to go for it. Just being asked to apply is a major coup

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
