Hi Every one

I am joining you, it seems to be a nice place for discussion and to find answers to many questions.

This is the reason why I'm joining you!!!

Excuse my english, I'm french but I think that I'm good enough to talk and write in English, hope you will accept me in your Forum.

I'm from the Outaouais and I got my lapband surgery in Montreal on December 4th 2009, a year ago. I lost 45 pounds.

I'm presently having problems loosing more weight.

My surgeon is in Montreal, and from now on, I can have an appointment in Montreal for an ajustment only at 8:30am in the morning and then in the afternoon the adjustment if required. I do not really like these new hours for appointment and I am trying to find another place to go for adjustment.

I do really like my surgeon and it is sad for me to have to go somewhere else but it is very hard for me to go to Montreal so early in the morning....

If you think about a place where I can go, let me know.

I just send an email in a Clinic in Ottawa and waiting for their answer if they want to accept me in their clinic, eventhough my surgery was perform in Montreal.

Waiting to ear from you.

Diane55

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
