Waking Up Feeling GOOD! NSV!!!

Recommended Posts

How's this for a non-scale victory? When I woke up this morning, I felt absolutely great! That never used to happened. Now it happens all the time. My mood is terrific, I have energy, my stomach feels flat(er), I even feel taller.

Before getting the band, I was very nervous. I had serious fears and doubts about it, so I googled "band" + "regret". I got a bunch of results of people posting "My only regret is that I didn't get it sooner!" And now, that's exactly how I feel.

I love you Lap-Band!

You have made my day! I am having Lap Band surgery Monday. Each day I have gotten a little more nervous......I guess this is normal. I'm still very excited and can't believe the day is so near. Over the last few days I have also had some fears and doubts, I'm glad to hear this happens to others. I'm starting at 239 and my BMI is 35 (right at the to be or not to be candidate) My problem is I've been losing and gaining the same 30lbs for 6 years. So glad to read your comment.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
