Hi, I'm very new to all of this. I have done some research and after struggling with other diets and weight loss programs, I've decided to get the lap band, now I have to get the process started. Any pointers on the process of getting started and what to expect from my insurance? Any good doctor recommendations in the Vegas area. Thanks Kat

Hi Kat - I am getting the lap band too, scheduled for Jan 28th - I'm self pay though bc there's an exclusion clause in my companies plan. I know there seems to be LOTS of info on here though from individuals going through the insurance approval process so I am sure they'll be able to give you some pointers. Maybe go post over in pre-operation band questions forum. I wish you the best of luck on your journey!!
