HATE chewable vitamins!!

Recommended Posts

I was sent home from the hospital with a bunch of samples of Bariatric Advantage chewable vitamins and Calcium tablets. I am following all the band rules but I hate these things! Does anybody use a Vitamin they really like? Please put me out of my misery!

There is a really tasty Vitamin called Isotonix, its a powder that you mix with Water and it tastes like citrus. I was not a believer but let me tell you, its a great vitamin that you don't have to take with food, they prefer you take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and its awesome! You can talk to my person who is Karen Bambas you can reach her at her e-mail address of: Karen Bambas [fusionlady1@hotmail.com is her e-mail address. She can then talk to you about it and what it can do. She offeres a variety of things and trust me, its awesome! I hope this helps!

OMG guys, I know!!! I've tried the Bariatric Advantage and even the Flintstones chewables I didn't like. I have Celebrate bariatric Vitamins now (grape) and they are a LITTLE more tolerable

The best chewable Vitamins are Vitafusion - they taste like Gummy bears.

You can find them at Target, CVS, Walgreens.

Seriously, try them - they are soooo good.

Thanks for the input. I'm going to do some research and see which of these varieties comes anywhere near the Vitamin levels of the Bariatric Advantage, and try that one!

I second the Vitafusions - those things are a TREAT to take. I haven't found a single chewable that tastes good nor a non-chew that doesn't irritate my stomach, but the Vitafusions simply rock. They also have Fiber gummies that are divine. I look forward to Vitamin and fiber time! I'm not even a fan of Gummy bears, but these are delicious. I've tried the generic version at Walgreens - not even close. They're harder and taste nasty. Vitafusion all the way!

Just what April said, these gummies are a TREAT!!

I promise you wont regret buying them and I think I saw a small bottle for less than $7, so not a big investment should you really not like them, but I highly doubt it.

Let us know if you try them and what you think.

Have a great weekend.

I eat the Gummy ones similar to Ang, they are the Publix store brand version of the flintstone gummy's. It was actually the only chewables I could find that day at the store...they taste really good! they taste just like gummy bears, not vile at all ;-)

My surgeon recommended Flinestone chewables, saying they have enough of what I need? I take the Gummy ones and must say I was a little disappointed when he told me to take one instead of 2 :hurt: They are rather tasty!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
