gentlespirit 1 Posted December 25, 2005 Can anyone recommend a Protein shake/drink that doesn't smell like a bottle of Vitamins? I just can't get past the smell...totally puts me off. Has anyone tried something they like or at least can tolerate well? Thanks! Emily
Iluvharleys 15 Posted December 25, 2005 I used Carnation Instant Breakfast (Powder kind) and mixed it with milk. It makes a good hot chocolate too!
Firecallie 2 Posted December 28, 2005 GNC French vanilla ON GOLD STANDARD (<--brand name) blended with strawberries and ice is AWESOME. I am so picky about what i eat (hard to imagine i know) and I couldn't even do a cup of Isopure or anything else but I LOVE my shakes in the morning. IMO it beats Chick-fila breakfast which was what I was used to.
Jammin & Losin 1 Posted December 28, 2005 I drink EAS Advant Edge Protein drinks!!! ( chocolate Fudge is the best ) !!!!!
jdemzi 9 Posted December 28, 2005 I drink Champion Pure whey Stack chocolate. It is pretty popular and I buy it from www.vitalady.com
ava 0 Posted December 28, 2005 Unjury powder in chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, or unflavored. No weird Protein taste. Look for it online.
Tamiko 0 Posted December 28, 2005 I just bought a 60 dollar container of Isopure (Mango peach) it tastes alright but because I paid so much for it I will make myself like it. The sales man said it is the one of the highest quality Protein Drink on the market and it has no sugar and no carbs.
gentlespirit 1 Posted December 29, 2005 Thanks, everyone! I just bought the chocolate and unflavored unjury but will look for those you've mentioned, too. I have next Friday off to get all my pre-op testing done so plan to spend the afternoon checking all this stuff out. Emily
lovecats85 2 Posted December 29, 2005 I use Isopure - its clear and taste fine and it's 100% pure isolate protien (absorbed better than whey protein) and has 50 grams Protein per sertving. It's 50 bucks for a huge can at GNC. It last longer for me b/c I use only one scoop at a time, not two.
porclndoll 0 Posted December 30, 2005 I just found and absolutely love a GNC product....Pro Performance Liquid Protein. I got a 16 ounce bottle for 14.99 on sale, and it has 18g of Protein per serving. Its pretty thick like a cough Syrup, but I throw mine in some berry Flavored Propel and it dilutes it and makes it easier to swallow. I am sooo sick of Protein Shakes. I need to take in more Water anyways, so this is the perfect item for me!! I mentioned it in this link too http://lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=7996&highlight=liquid+protein There are other people on the board who have tried it...and they have some suggestions for its use, like to be put in ice tea...... GOOD LUCK!!

HappyGirlNJ 0 Posted December 31, 2005 Amplify by Release, you can only but it at a select few GNC'S (Chocolate mixed with some peanut-butter) It tastes like a Reeses Cup!!! I hate shakes and I love this one. I tried the Isopure (YUCK YUCK YUCK, I'd rather drink mud with worms in it) Anyhow try it, it's the best.
sarabride2006 0 Posted December 31, 2005 I bought some boost with Protein. It's tolerable. I will be glad when liquids are over.......................
