If you are on percocet for post-surgical pain

For the love of all that is holy, take a laxative while on percocet. I found out the hard way that percocet commonly gives you Constipation. I seriously think I broke my bum last night.

I did not have the problem for the first two weeks since I was on liquids then and nothing stayed in. By that time I was done with the pain meds.

That stuff was awesome. I miss it.

Yeah, my pharmacist warned me but I already knew from c-sections...all of the good pain meds do that. It's hardly worth it. I took a couple doses (I had liquid Lortab post-op) for the first couple days. I think I healed quicker for it though.

But yeah, stool softeners are a must. I even took one the night before surgery. Pharmacist said it'd be ok.
