Crybaby 2 Posted November 28, 2010 I am just a lil over 3 weeks Post-Op. I wont have my first fill until December 8th. I am only working out 3 days a week and maybe that is the problem. I also added more calories to my diet, I was only getting between 800-900 daily, so I went to 1000-1200. If anyone has any good input I would truly appreciate it. michellehoeffel 1 Posted November 28, 2010 Just be patient. I was also in the same situation until my first fill. You are still healing and it may take a few more weeks before you see anything. I also work out 3 time per week and have had success. It is just slow after being banded.

isaviolinist 11 Posted November 29, 2010 Thank you Michelle....I just feel like I am doing something wrong If you're meticulously watching your calories, and working out then you're not doing anything wrong! One thing to consider: if you've just started working out and you hadn't really been doing too much exercise beforehand, you may be gaining some muscle. Even if you're just working out a little bit, you're using muscles that you probably haven't used in awhile, and as you gain muscle, it may seem like you're not losing (or you're even gaining). But muscle is what you want; and muscle burns more calories than fat.

My doctor told me not to worry about losing weight for the first month after postop. It was more important to get my Proteins in and heal. There may be a slight transition period on weight loss/gain, but it will stabilize out. Personally, I think 1000-1200 is more doable long term than 800-900 but that may be just me. . sparkplug 106 Posted November 30, 2010 Thank you Michelle....I just feel like I am doing something wrong be patient crybaby, I hit so many plateaus when I started 2 years ago that I thought I would never make the end of this long journey. There is light at the end of the tunnel, if I can do this, anybody can do this. Don't give up, it is a long road and you need your strength along the way. Good luck and be happy with each and every loss.
