Cangel76 1 Posted November 25, 2010 I had a piece of stuck food yesterday. I made a huge error in that I was starving by the time I ate and not thinking about chewing well enough I guess. Well the slime, out with the food thing was fine, I even went back to finishing my meal. HOWEVER, question, Anyone who has had this happen, when you ate after that did you have trouble with excess slime making you cough and such again. The back of my throat felt like I had lots of snot, in fact my nose even started backing up. I don't have a cold and was coughing and weezing all night. It cleared up this morning but I was wondering if either a. I am GETTING a cold, or b. It can be related to the earlier sliming episode.
ElfiePoo 109 Posted November 25, 2010 Once I get the offending food 'unstuck', the sliming quits. Perhaps something was still 'stuck' a bit? .
racetrackweary 0 Posted November 25, 2010 I have had issues with coughing (what I call "thick" coughing) all night after having an episode where I have food stuck and had to get it out. This only seems to occur if I eat late at night and get "unstuck" late at night - just prior to going to sleep. By the morning I am better - maybe just a scratchy throat - but that's it. That's why I always try to eat no later then 6:30 p.m.
papoose 48 Posted November 25, 2010 I threw up last Sunday. I was very hungry and because what i ate was soft (grits and chicken liver w/gravy) and did not chew the meat very well it came back up. But I was too scared to eat anymore. I ate a few hours later and was alright. i was very nervous about eating, so i chewed my food very well.
