firebug610 0 Posted November 24, 2010 Yesterday at 9:30 am I was banded. They had a hard time waking me up in the recovery room because they gave me anti nausea meds. Now I am sitting here can't sleep and in a lot of pain. Oddly enough it is all worth it. I have waited a year to have this and I am so excited. My liquid diet is not bad either. My doc said I can have all the pudding and milk shakes that I want. He understands that this is hard and said that after o can't have this stuff anymore so I might as well enjoy it now. Good luck to everyone. How can anyone sleep. I am a stomach sleeper and it even hurts to sleep on my side

I think (or at least hope) what your doctor meant was that you can have low carb/low fat Protein shakes and sugar free pudding? Otherwise you will be consuming a tremendous amount of calories on milk shakes, why would you even want that right after being banded?

firebug610 0 Posted November 24, 2010 I guess I should clear up the milk shakes I can make a milk shake with slim milk ice and nestle quick powder. Once a day I can add a scoop of ice cream if I want. And the pudding is sugar free. i wrote my first forum this morning with no sleep and under pain meds. but thank you for the concern.
