kentx05 3 Posted November 24, 2010 Is there anybody else that gets their fills at True Results? I was checking my insurance claims and realized that everytime I've gone to get a fill, I'm charged $250 for the office visit and $600 for the fill. I couldn't believe it. I'm assuming it's because they're using the x-ray machine each time they give me a fill. Does anybody else that goes to True Results have the same charges. My insurance covered it but it looks like I might have to pay some out of pocket.
txrckcrwlr 0 Posted November 30, 2010 I go in for my first fill tomorrow. I will let you know as soon as I get my EOB from insurance. How has your experience been with True results so far? I am going to the Hurst TX office. I really like most of the ppl there.
dunns2005 1 Posted December 28, 2010 True results seems to way overbill everything. For my surgery they billed my insurance $63,000! My insurance paid $57,000. They didnt even let me fully wake up from anesthtic. They had my husband dress me and they put me in car. They charged my insurance $600 for my fills, and actually double charged. I lost my job and had to go to cash pay so couldnt get fills for several months. Now I went for my first fill in 6+ months and they asked a new question on sign in about AHCCCS coverage. Well I checked yes and the following day received a call from true results informing me they could no longer see me because they dont take AHCCCS. So now I have no doctor and no one to do my fills. I feel totally abandoned and feel they should be doing my fills for free after the ridicoulous amount they charged my insurance! My friend had hers done cash price $5000. How do they justify the difference? I feel as if true results is a true scam! 1 GB2011 reacted to this
kentx05 3 Posted December 16, 2011 I agree. I have a Health Fund with Aetna that I share with my daughter. Because True Results charges so much I'm left wondering where I can get a fill for cheaper but equally as safe. I live to the west of Houston.
cpagan 2 Posted December 16, 2011 I go to True Results in San Antonio and I self paid so my fills are free for the first year. I saw the surgeon twice, once at the consult and for the follow up visit. I don't feel like I'm getting the support they talked about so much. Btw, I live in Corpus Christi, so I have to drive 2 hours to get my fills. It's a pain but I'll do it as long as my fills are free.
kentx05 3 Posted July 27, 2012 I'm still wondering if anybody has gone to True Results Houston for their fills. I have stopped going since they billed me $800 for it. Has anybody else gone and seen how much they got hit with on their insurance claim? Does anybody who got banded at True Results-Houston know of a better place nearby where we can get fills? Hey Kentx05. I use TR for fills. I'm self pay, insurance doesn't cover anything related to WLS. Now that my "free" year is up, they have a few options. 1. Pay $125 per visit 2. Have $40 auto-deduct from bank account each month for one year. 3. Pre-pay $240 for 6 months. Maybe see if you can do self-pay instead of using insurance if it is cheaper. I'm not sure how much fills are with insurance...if I had insurance coverage I would call both TR and my policy to find out exactly what to expect, and get it in writing. Please keep us posted. cheryllm63 4 Posted July 27, 2012 I went for my first fill at TR. in the medical center, Wednesday. My insurance paid for half and the other is self pay. I get free fills for a year. But just for my eggs they charged the insurance $18,000. That is crazy. I, too, have only seen the doctor once. Not too happy about that.
Harrier's Woman 58 Posted July 29, 2012 After reading these replies, I am starting to get a little nervous. I am using TrueResults here in San Antonio. I've only had one appointment so far and so we will see how it goes. I will be extremely cautious with their billing practices in the future.
cpagan 2 Posted July 29, 2012 Harrier's Woman, True Results has a new PA and I like her a lot. She listens and takes action. I was having some problems and she ordered a barium test right away and I had it done. I have stretched my upper pouch a little and she removed some of my fill. I'm doing much better now. I go back Tuesday to see how I'm doing. As for billing me I've only been charged $60 for an office visit once. I will be interested to see what the barium test costs since my insurance won't pay for anything to do with WLS. 1 Harrier's Woman reacted to this

angieburns00@hotmail.com 0 Posted August 3, 2012 I go to true results in SAN ANTONIO and have only seen the surgeon twice .. The rest have been the PA . I like the girls and yes they got a new one and I really like her too . I paid cash for my surgery and fills are free again for the first year .. I did notice that they try billing my insurance for the surgery to anything else .. I had to call them to correct stuff because I think that is how they try to get more money !! My progress is slow but I'm getting better at it !
Antwan 9 Posted August 4, 2012 You guys need to check with your insurance companies because what they charge and what they are contracted for is 2 different amounts. Ask what us the contracted rate for a fill
MandaElaine 20 Posted August 9, 2012 I was also charged $600! I have been fighting with them for months now. I have been waiting to hear from someone about the payment plan they have. Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk, SW: 225CW: 201 GW:
