RGVT78 5 Posted November 15, 2010 Hi all  Just a question about the BodyMedia armband. They have just come out with a bluetooth one that syncs with your smartphone (Yes, I am a geek) and was wondering what people thought of previous generations, or whether it would be worth getting the BodyBugg SP that also syncs to a smartphone. By the looks of things with iTunes and the app store, the BodyMedia version seems to be more user friendly. Ideas? Thanks!!

RGVT78 5 Posted November 16, 2010 Well, I just sucked it up, and ordered one. I got the Bluetooth version so that I can keep track on my iPhone. It's on backorder, so I'll have to wait a few weeks.. BOO!!
Bobthedog 0 Posted November 16, 2010 I have the armband, i loved it at first but the velco fell apart and it took them months to send me a new one, and I haven't worn it since. once I stopped wearing it, i lost interested, i also found it so big, that it was really hard to conceal. Dave_NW 92 Posted February 14, 2011 I recently got the Bodymedia FIT BW version, and I'm finding it very helpful. I previously had the non-Bluetooth version, and found it inconvenient to have to sync with my home computer, only to find out my exercise for the day was too little. Now, with the Bluetooth version, I can track things on the fly through my Droid phone, so when I later sync the armband with my home computer, I know what to expect. It's helping, too - I've lost more weight with it than without it. Yahoo! Anyone else stepping onto this "band" wagon? (Lap band AND arm band. Gee - I always wanted to join a band... LOL!) JMinDallas 1 Posted February 14, 2011 I bought the body media too. Not the blue tooth one. Read some reviews and wasn't sure about it. I do love it. Nice to see how much I actually do in a day. Their food journal part is not very good at all though. I usually use myfitnesspal and then load a total amount of calories for the day into bodymedia site. What's it's really showing me is the days I don't go to the gym, I need to do some sort of exercise.
