You will become dehydrated and starvation is not the way to lose weight (you won't be able to starve yourself forever, and you'll gain it back...plus you will royally screw up your metabolism if you do it for an extended period of time...then you'll REALLY have issues losing). Your mindset seems like an eating disorder mindset. You've really done wonderfully well with your weightloss, and it sounds like you've persevered despite complications. Be proud of that, and continue on losing weight in a healthy manner. You should page your doctor and get in for an unfill first thing tomorrow.
bwhitty 1 Posted November 14, 2010 I haven't been banded yet but in a few days and my Doctor specifically said "if you CAN NOT drink fluids, come in immediately". He mentioned it may take a couple days for it to be where it should be, due to possible swelling right after a fill but you should ALWAYS be able to drink. I'd bust a move to my Doc
Cocoabean 430 Posted November 15, 2010 If you cannot get liquids down, call your doctor immediately! Dehydration can kill you. A band that is too tight can lead to another slip. 25 lbs is nothing to scoff at. It is a good loss. Perhaps not as fast as you want it to be, but it is 3 pounds per month. Slow loss is still loss, and on the way to a healthier you. Better that than losing a second band.
