On some other Forums I visit, there is a link where I can see a list of links to posts I've made, or threads I've started. Is there anything like that here? If not, can we set up something like that? It'd be great to have that kind of option, so I can quickly get back to threads I'd like to revisit, without wading through all the others on the site.

This site is so large, and is so busy, I often find it difficult to find posts I made a day or two earlier. Email notifications are not very useful, especially since I don't really care if my post is one of a hundred in a thread. But if a particular thread or post is important, or if I'm waiting for a reply from someone, it'd be nice to jump back to that place easily.

Thanks. I've seen that, but it doesn't seem as efficient as a clickable link under the "Quick Links" tab like on other Forum sites. Does a post made in an existing thread automatically subscribe the user to that thread? And does starting a new thread also do that? Am I just missing something?

Edit to add: Yes, I was missing something. I just checked that page, and at the bottom of the list there was a link to "Show all subscribed threads" or some such. Clicking that showed me everything I've posted into, including my own new threads I've started. So the links are there.

Now, Admins, how about posting a link to do that under the Quick Links tab, so it's quicker to get there?

I don't know if the admins read every post here. You may wish to PM one of them directly regarding your suggestion. There is also a way to submit feedback through the contact us page on the site.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
