CharlyinCO 0 Posted November 13, 2010 I was banded Nov 5 and I am now 1 week post op, however, since the day of surgery I have had a constant runny nose with blood. I am blowing my nose all day long. I have no other cold symptoms or anything, just constant bloody mucus in my nose. Is this natural of the post op period?
Sha'sJourney 1 Posted November 13, 2010 I was banded Nov. 10th and yesterday I experienced the same thing. I think it's from the surgery. I think when they use the face mask and breathing tube it dries everything up. I've also had some runny nose since then and I don't have any cold symptoms either. Fluffy_Gurl 3 Posted November 13, 2010 Oxygen is very drying to mucus membrains. most likely its from the surgery. steaming will help like the previous poster said. Also you can try using a humidifier if you have one. Im from CO too and will all the cold dry weather weve just had it would probly help alot!
