bamamom 1 Posted November 13, 2010 Hello, I was banded on Nov. 3rd. No problems util day 5 and I hadn't had a bowel movement since before surgery. Don't let this happen to you!! It was very painful. Otherwise just excited and ready to eat some mushy foods on Thurs. I'm sick of Protein shakes....I didn't think I would ever say I HATE CHOCOLATE!! mamaj 2 Posted November 13, 2010 Hi Bamamom, I am going to be banded this Tuesday (Nov 16) and want to thank you for posting the warning! I will be careful. Hope you are feeling better and congratulations on your band! I'm looking forward to joining "the banded" soon. If you are looking for a band-buddy, feel free to PM me and we can chat. I'm 48, female and have a similar amount of weight to lose. Maybe we can encourage each other! All the best to you. Mamaj (Cindy)

amcguire 0 Posted November 19, 2010 Hello I was banded a day before you??? YAY!!!I was wondering how you are feeling?? I am constipated and have major gas pain in my shoulder area???? Other than that I am doing ok. How are you feeling ???Alisa
bamamom 1 Posted November 19, 2010 Alisa, I'm feeling great.. I was constipated at first, but now I'm fine. I went for my 2wk post op checkup today. Cleared to exercise and eat pureed foods. I had some cooked carrots, sugarfree yougart, and refried black Beans and they were so good. Still drinking my Protein Drinks. I really didn't have any gas pains at all. I had only 2 incisions, don't know if that makes a difference or not. But so far so good for me... hopefully you'll feel better soon. What does your dr. say? bamamom 1 Posted November 19, 2010 Hello mamaJ Cindy, how did your surgery go..any problems. just wanted to check in on you. Hope all is well. Bamamom (Amy)
mamaj 2 Posted November 19, 2010 Hi Amy, Doing ok, considering it has only been two days. The surgery itself and immediate post-op went really smoothly, so I couldn't have been happier about that. Recovery since is fine, but the weird sensations, lack of appetite, gas movement, etc. are all strange. Hope it will pass soon and I'll be feeling like new again. Doing lots of walking, but still need to take the pain meds (though minimal dose and only every six hours or so). Wishing all of us here a speedy recovery! Thanks for checking in on me :-) You doing ok? Cindy
