Along the way I've picked up clothing as needed, but a boob lift and Tummy Tuck will be the big reward. Come to think of it, I haven't gotten a massage in years and think I've earned one! I'll make that appointment tomorrow!

Tattooed eyeliner? That exists? Scary, no? I'm intrigued...

It's been done for years...along with lips and eyebrows. Well worth the $$$.

I said at 150lbs I would let myself have a Reese's Cup. Not the most healthy reward..but, I've been craving one for awhile now. When I'm at goal I'll do P90X, see what toning I can do, then my last reward will definitely be plastic surgery. :)

1. Are you setting up one large goal and giving yourself a reward at the end? If so what is it?

2. Are you setting up mini goals and rewarding yourself at those, like every 25 lost or 50 lost? If so what are your rewards?

I know we get to do mini shopping trips every 30 or so lbs so we have close to fit us, but beyond that, what are you rewarding yourself with?

I know once I hit my goal I am going for a tattoo, or maybe a breast lift. he he I am going to get Gargoyles on my back one cover his eyes, one covering his ears and one covering his mouth.

So what about you?

I am likely going to do small mini goals and one huge reward at the end. I think the small mini goals are more attainable and measureable. The one large goal might be a little discouraging depending on how much you have to lose, and me at 150 that's a whole person, so I think 25lbs are my mini goals. :)

I am actually just rewarding myself for having surgery and the idea of losing weight. I was banded on Nov 9th, so I hope that by my B-day i can fit my first goal dress which I brought 2 years ago when I lost a lot of weight but still needed to lose about 20 more pounds for it to look good on me. I am currently a size 32 and my first goal dress is a 26. Then in February me and the girls are taking a vacation, we still have yet to figure out where but Vegas sounds sweet. Then again in July I will go on Vacation to a family reunion and get to show off the new me, my family has never seen a smaller me so that will be a reward in itself. After that I will be starting grad school so little rewards will have to wait until after I finish. So hopefully by May of 2012 I will be down to my goal weight which is 200 lbs and If I am a sista is going forreal clothes shopping...Total new closet and makeover....No tummy tuck....afraid....or breast lifts...or anything that hurts....This lapband was the only hurt I wanted to experience.

Starting weight: 403

Current weight: Unknown

Surgery weight: 377

Goal weight: 200

December 23rd goal weight: 340

For every 10 pounds lost, I buy a charm/bead for my Pandora Bracelet. Each charm somehow represents a part of my journey. (I have a dog because my dog, Truman, is my personal trainer; I have a gym shoe; etc. I'm about to buy one that represents the story The Princess and the Pea because now that I'm thinner, I feel every lump and bump in clothing and in bed! LOL)

In addition to buying charms when I hit 10 pounds down, I have commemorated certain milestones with a charm, as well--getting under 200 pounds, losing 50 pounds, losing 75 pounds.

By the time I reach goal, the bracelet will be full.

Otherwise, my rewards have been new jeans that fit every now and then. And all kinds of NSVs.

When I hit goal, I hope to have plastic surgery to rearrange all these body parts that are so much smaller and further south.

I've never really thought of rewarding myself with I hit my mini-goals. My last mini-goal was 224 but since I've been rollercoastering, I'm most likely not going to believe I've actually hit that goal until I hit the next one...which is 199.

I guess for me, just hitting the goal is reward enough, although I have to say I would *love* to do the permanent eyebrow tattoos since I've always had very light eyebrows (strawberry blonde) but now that I've hit 54, they seem to be disappearing a little more each day. :crying: The only thing stopping me is the fear that they'll screw it up and then I'm stuck with a freak face. :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
