shadst8 8 Posted November 12, 2010 Just trying to think ahead. Can you wear regular clothes during the weeks after surgery? Do pants bother your stomach? I wore leggings and things with elastic the first few days. When I returned to work, I put gauze over my incisions so my clothes would not irritate them. Jachut 487 Posted November 12, 2010 I had no problems.
Laura Lane 0 Posted November 12, 2010 yep, you feel bloated for the few first days, but nothing serious....
isaviolinist 11 Posted November 12, 2010 I kept my incisions covered with gauze and just wore things with comfortable waist bands for the first little while. But I was able to wear my regular clothing for the most part.
sophinator 2 Posted November 12, 2010 Okay...was just thinking about that because I remember 10 years ago I had gallbladder surgery and it was like my stomach was bloated and the waistband hurt ...not the incisions but my insides...possibly from the gas?? Not sure.
Finding the old me! 0 Posted November 12, 2010 I must be in the minority here....i'm almost 4 weeks out & my largest incision, which i believe is where my port is, still bothers me. Don't get me wrong, it's a little better every day, but a lot depends on what i wear too. I have some pants/jeans i can wear no problem but others not so much depending where they sit on my body. Fluffy_Gurl 3 Posted November 12, 2010 Ive been wearing sweat pants and couldnt wear jeans for about 3 weeks. i think it totally depends on where your cloths sit related to your incision. most of my pain was actually below my incision. Also my port incision and another are located right on the edge of my "muffin top roll" so whenever i sit it rubs on jeans etc. hopefully that will go away soon
hotsexyrunnerchick 5 Posted November 12, 2010 I wore stretchy pants and dresses for 2 weeks after..
jamelyn1979 1 Posted November 12, 2010 I did not have any problems. The 1st few days, I wore my yoga pants as I was home for a week after surgery.
JanB23 23 Posted November 12, 2010 I wore stretchy pants for about 4 weeks and left my bra off as much as possible in the first 2 weeks.(as instructed). There was no way i could put on a bra for the first few days.
Mardot 0 Posted November 12, 2010 Clothing didn't bother me but going out to buy a new mattress was a killer! What was I thinking?! They must have thought I was nuts, I had to roll off each mattress that I tried out.
