suki 0 Posted December 22, 2005 please tell me someone out here has had this experience...i've written it somewhere else in here but who the heck knows where it is now...anyhoos, I CANNOT BURP!! still! i was banded on 12/13 and i still can't burp. my body is doing the involuntary suck in/hiccup part but then it gets stuck in there and i can't expel it! i'm getting more and more gas in my belly and can't release it. i would kill for a big ol' drunk sailor BELCH, OMG that would be heaven *sigh*. i take gasx to help but still nothing makes it possible for the air to come back up and out. it keeps me so bloated and uncomfortable feeling. i won't see my doc in mx til jan 21.:phanvan
gunn4ya 0 Posted December 22, 2005 Dont fret, I know its annoying but I had that same problem. I kept the hiccups but no burping. It will eventually go away.
suki 0 Posted December 22, 2005 THANK YOU! i was feeling like i was the only one who experienced this, most everyone talks about how much they are burping. how long did it take for it to go away? i wonder why it happens? it seems so simple to bring the air back up, but it physically will not do it, i can't even strain and force it back up. i feel like a thanksgiving day float.:phanvan

Trying2live 1 Posted December 22, 2005 You may want to try standing up, then bend over at the waist then lift your head up from looking at the floor to looking forward. For some reason this position always makes me burp. Kinda gets it around the band I guess. Anyway try it it is free, results may vary. I discovered this because every time I bend over to put the leash on my dinkey dog to go outside, when I start to stand up again I always burp, now I use it when needed and I feel like air is traped. Hope this helps. Trish
