toyrenee 0 Posted November 8, 2010 HI everyone I go to my first appointment after my surgery on the 22nd. My doctor stated that he may or may not give me a fill. I was kinded of fluster by this considering i don't have anything in my band currently and i will be 4 weeks out. Can anyone tell me when they knew they needed a fill. I'm going to push for one anyway.
RGVT78 5 Posted November 8, 2010 My doctor kinda goes by this chart.. but it all has to do with how much you are able to eat, and how long it takes to get hungry afterwards.
chica125kml 0 Posted November 8, 2010 That is a great chart to go by. I knew I needed a fill because I was hungry about 1 and 1/2 hours after I ate. I just got my first band fill last Thursday and I can see such a difference. I now go 3 to 4 hours without getting hungry.
LarraineM 6 Posted November 8, 2010 When I can't ward off hunger for more that a hour or two I know its time for a fill...............good restriction for me is 4 -5 hrs without being hungry

My doctor goes by that chart too! I'm in the yellow stage at the moment. I'm getting a fill today.
Melissannde 41 Posted November 9, 2010 Yep.. mine uses the green zone chart. I find it helpful to take in a week or so of my food journal, that way whoever I end up seeing.. doc or pa.. can see that I've been compliant to the best of my ability. And they can counsel me about poor choices too.
